Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer (Electrical) to oversee electrical engineering, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities for marine infrastructure projects, particularly liquid jetties and associated hazardous-area facilities. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved designs, applicable codes, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, design documents, and project requirements.
- Supervise electrical installation works for liquid jetties, marine terminals, pump houses, substations, utility areas, and associated facilities.
- Coordinate installation of power distribution systems, lighting systems, earthing and lightning protection, cable networks, panels, transformers, and electrical equipment.
- Ensure electrical systems are suitable for marine and hazardous environments.
- Review and implement hazardous-area classifications and ensure appropriate selection and installation of Ex-rated electrical equipment.
- Supervise cable laying, termination, glanding, testing, and commissioning activities.




- Oversee installation and testing of marine/jetty lighting, including normal, emergency, and hazardous-area lighting systems.
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, instrumentation, HSE, and commissioning teams to resolve site-related issues.
- Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and quality requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in electrical engineering.
- Significant experience in marine infrastructure, liquid jetties, marine terminals, ports, oil & gas, petrochemical, or other hazardous-area facilities.
- Solid knowledge of electrical power distribution and marine electrical systems.
- Proven experience in electrical design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Good understanding of hazardous-area classification and explosion-protected (Ex) electrical equipment.
- Experience with electrical systems for liquid jetties, marine terminals, oil & gas facilities, or similar hazardous industrial infrastructure.
