This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Technical Consultant SDN based in India. This is a senior networking consulting role focused on designing, deploying, and supporting sophisticated software-defined networking solutions for enterprise data centers.

You will serve as a subject matter expert across technologies such as Cisco ACI, VxLAN, Arista, and VMware NSX. The role combines deep technical expertise with customer-facing consulting, architecture, implementation, and knowledge transfer. You will work directly with clients and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable network architectures and successful deployments.

The position offers significant ownership across complex data center projects, migrations, workshops, and technical decision-making. Accountabilities

- Serve as a subject matter expert for software-defined networking technologies and provide technical leadership across complex enterprise data center initiatives.
- Design, deploy, migrate, and support large-scale SDN environments using Cisco ACI, Cisco or Arista VxLAN, and VMware NSX.
- Lead Cisco ACI architecture and implementation activities, including multi-pod and multi-site deployments.
- Participate in complex solution deployments, producing clear technical documentation and other written deliverables.
- Conduct customer workshops and architectural discussions, explaining technical strategies and approaches to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements and customer objectives into practical network architectures and implementation strategies.
- Ensure proposed and deployed solutions align with customer demand, business priorities, technical requirements, and long-term operational goals.
- Provide situational leadership, make timely technical decisions, and proactively resolve issues throughout project delivery.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels, both internally and externally, while maintaining a strong focus on customer outcomes.
- Manage and contribute to multiple IT projects, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines, budgets,



and quality expectations.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer to customer teams to support smooth operation and long-term sustainability of deployed solutions.
- Stay current with emerging SDN and data center technologies and maintain relevant technical certifications and qualifications.

Requirements

- Minimum 10 years of experience working in enterprise data center networking environments.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Cisco, Arista, and/or VMware NSX in large-scale data center deployments and migrations.
- Extensive Cisco ACI experience covering architecture, design, implementation, and deployment, including multi-pod and multi-site environments.
- Strong understanding of data center networking fundamentals, including underlay and overlay architectures, segmentation strategies, and interoperability across network and virtualization platforms.
- Experience with VxLAN design and deployment is highly desirable.
- Experience with VMware NSX design, implementation, and V-to-T migration is an advantage.
- Cisco CCNP, ACI, or CCIE certification is required.
- VMware and/or Arista certifications are highly desirable.
- Robust problem-solving ability, ownership mindset, sense of urgency, and proactive approach to resolving technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex architecture and technical concepts clearly to senior management, technical teams, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong consulting and customer-facing skills, including workshop facilitation, architectural presentations, and stakeholder management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, make sound technical decisions, and deliver multiple initiatives on time and within budget.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Strong commitment to customer success, knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
