G5 Windows Server Administrator (Intermediate L1 / Junior L2)
G5 admins provide advanced first-level troubleshooting and handle moderately complex issues across Windows servers, AD, and core infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot OS-level issues: Service dependencies failures
Troubleshoot OS-level issues: OS performance degradation
Troubleshoot OS-level issues: Log analysis using Event Viewer
Perform user/group management in Active Directory.
Manage access permissions using NTFS and share permissions.
Troubleshoot DNS/DHCP issues at L1 depth.
Support patching cycles (pre-checks, post-validation, failure reporting).
Coordinate with backup teams for restore requests (files/folders).
Troubleshoot RDP issues, login failures, profile corruption.
Perform basic PowerShell commands for routine checks (non-destructive).
Mentor and guide G4 resources in ticket handling and troubleshooting quality.
Skills Required
13 years Windows Admin/NOC experience.
Positive understanding of AD, GPO basics, Windows services, and networking basics.
Familiarity with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) basics.
