We are looking for a Senior SCI / Cognos Developer with 6+ years of experience and strong hands-on expertise in Manhattan Active WM/WMS and SCI (Supply Chain Intelligence)

The ideal candidate will be a technically strong SCI developer who understands the Manhattan Active WM/WMS functional landscape, underlying data structures, SCI framework and architecture, and reporting objects. The person should be capable of independently converting well-defined business and reporting requirements into efficient, scalable SCI reporting solutions with minimal technical oversight.

This is not a role focused simply on report development. We are looking for someone who understands where the required data resides, how Manhattan Active data is structured, how SCI works, and how to design reporting solutions that are productive, maintainable, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently analyze reporting requirements and translate them into SCI/Cognos reporting solutions.
- Identify the appropriate Manhattan Active WM/WMS data elements, objects, attributes, relationships, and measures required to satisfy reporting requirements.
- Design, develop, test, and optimize SCI reports, dashboards, queries, and Cognos reporting objects.
- Apply a strong understanding of the SCI framework, architecture, data model, and reporting capabilities to develop effective solutions.
- Understand the relationship between Manhattan Active WM/WMS functionality and the underlying reporting/data structures.
- Determine the most appropriate data sources and reporting objects rather than relying on trial-and-error report development.
- Develop reports that are efficient, performant, scalable, and maintainable.
- Analyze and troubleshoot reporting/data issues, including data discrepancies, query performance, joins, aggregations, and report logic.




- Optimize existing reports and reporting solutions for performance and scalability.
- Work independently with functional and technical stakeholders to clarify requirements and identify the right reporting approach.
- Provide technical guidance on SCI/Cognos reporting design, data usage, and best practices.
- Review existing reporting solutions and recommend improvements where required.
- Support testing, defect resolution, deployment, and production issues related to SCI/Cognos reporting.

Required Technical Skills

- 6+ years of hands-on experience in reporting/BI development, with significant experience in SCI/Cognos.
- Strong hands-on experience with Manhattan Active WM/WMS.
- Strong understanding of Manhattan Active SCI framework and architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Manhattan Active WM/WMS data structures and reporting objects.
- Strong experience in Cognos report development, including queries, data models/reporting objects, calculations, filters, prompts, joins, and aggregations.
- Ability to identify the right data elements and reporting objects based on business requirements.
- Strong SQL skills and ability to understand and troubleshoot complex queries.
- Experience designing high-performance and scalable reports.
- Ability to analyze reporting requirements from both a functional and technical perspective.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Good to Have

- Experience with complex Manhattan Active WM/WMS implementations.
- Experience working with large-scale warehouse/logistics reporting requirements.
- Experience in report performance tuning and optimization.
- Understanding of warehouse management processes such as inbound, outbound, inventory, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment, and warehouse operations.
- Experience supporting production reporting environments.
- Experience working with distributed/global teams.
