This role leads research execution across assigned jurisdictions and practice areas with a high degree of autonomy, producing high-quality analysis of law firm submissions, practitioner interviews and survey data to support rankings, editorial insight and awards decision-making. - Monitor global and regional trends to provide insight into market evolution.

1. Team & Workflow Ownership

• Own day-to-day delivery of team workflows, ensuring deadlines, trackers and research records are maintained accurately and consistently by junior analysts.

gaps or exceptions requiring escalation.
- Escalate sensitive, disputed or high-impact decisions to the Head of IFLR Research with transparent analysis and recommendations.

1. Stakeholder & Market Engagement

• Produce research summaries, briefings and presentations that communicate findings and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders.
- Represent the brand in external meetings, legal conferences and events where appropriate.
- Provide support and insight for the development of marketing collateral and client-facing materials.

1. Process Improvement & Coverage Expansion

• Contribute to process improvement by identifying practical ways to strengthen research quality, efficiency and consistency.
- Support expansion of research coverage into current jurisdictions by contributing to market-entry frameworks and pilot studies/assessments.
- Support the development of a scalable emerging-markets research strategy aligned with business priorities.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in market research, legal research, competitive intelligence, KPO/LPO, or a related analytical role.
- Demonstrated experience in project and stakeholder management, including managing trackers, deadlines and reporting.
- Proven experience handling large volumes of data and producing high-quality, autonomous research outputs.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication, presentation and notetaking skills.

- Working knowledge of legal industry structures and practice areas (e.g., tax, IP, litigation, corporate, finance) preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Power BI or Tableau preferred.
- Familiarity with legal/financial research databases (Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law, PitchBook, Mergermarket, Refinitiv/CapIQ) preferred.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity when engaging with stakeholders across diverse geographies.
- Sound judgement in handling confidential or sensitive submission and survey data.
- Willingness to work hours/shifts aligned with global (UK/US) stakeholders as required.
- Solution-oriented mindset with strong organisational, multitasking and problem-solving skills.

- Excel / Google Sheets, PowerPoint
- Legal/financial research databases (Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law, PitchBook, Mergermarket, Refinitiv/CapIQ)
- Project/workflow management tools (Asana, Jira, Trello or Smartsheet)

Success Measures

- Ranking and award recommendations are well-evidenced, timely and require minimal rework at sign-off.
- Team trackers, deadlines and research records remain accurate and consistent across junior analysts.
- Escalations are raised proactively with clear analysis, not after deadlines are missed.
- Stakeholders (internal and market participants) report clear, credible communication of findings.
- Mentoring contributes to measurable improvement in junior analyst output quality.

Role Boundaries

- This is a senior individual-contributor role. It currently carries workflow ownership and informal mentoring responsibility, but not formal people-management (no direct reports) unless otherwise designated by the business.
