We are looking for a Senior Purchase Head to lead procurement strategy, supplier management, demand planning, and inventory optimization as MSI scales its business.

ROLE OBJECTIVE:

To ensure the right product, right quantity, right price, and right time, while optimizing inventory, working capital, supplier performance, and commercial returns.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Procurement & Planning

· Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly purchase plans aligned with sales targets and forecasts.

· Manage category and SKU-level procurement planning.

· Plan for seasonality, product launches, and promotional requirements.

· Ensure availability of critical and fast-moving products.

Supplier & Commercial Management

· Manage key suppliers, principals, brands, and distributors.

· Negotiate pricing, credit terms, schemes, rebates, FOC, and marketing support.

· Evaluate supplier performance on cost, quality, availability, and delivery.

· Develop strategic supplier relationships and identify current sourcing opportunities.

Demand & Inventory Management

· Establish demand forecasting and replenishment systems.

· Monitor SKU velocity, inventory coverage, and purchase commitments.

· Control excess, ageing, slow-moving, and non-moving inventory.

· Improve stock turns and working-capital efficiency.

Procurement Governance

· Establish purchase SOPs, approval systems, and supplier scorecards.

· Develop procurement MIS and management dashboards.

· Ensure purchase discipline and policy compliance.

· Drive cost optimization and continuous improvement.

Team Leadership

· Lead and develop the procurement team.

· Set KRAs/KPIs and conduct performance reviews.





· Build a data-driven and commercially disciplined procurement culture.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Educational Qualification

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics, Engineering , or a related field.

· MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Finance, or Business Management is preferred.

Experience Requirements

· 15+ years of relevant experience in Purchase, Procurement, Sourcing, or Supply Chain.

· Strong experience in high-volume, multi-SKU businesses.

· Preference for candidates from Consumer Electronics, Mobile Accessories, Electronics Distribution, FMCG, Consumer Durables, or large Distribution organizations.

Demonstrated experience managing procurement teams and handling significant purchase volumes Certifications (Advantage)

· CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply)

· CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management)

· CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional)

· Procurement / Supply Chain Analytics Certifications
