Key Responsibilities1. Patient Care
Monitor and manage inpatients, especially cardiac patients, in consultation with consultants.
Attend to emergency cases and stabilize patients before specialist intervention.
Perform routine examinations, clinical assessments, and document findings accurately.
Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders and hospital protocols.
Clinical Support
Assist consultants during procedures, surgeries, and investigations.
Participate in ward rounds and patient care meetings.
Review patient reports, diagnostic results, and advise on further management as per protocols.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate patient records, discharge summaries, and progress notes.
Ensure adherence to hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
Assist in medical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Emergency & Critical Care
Respond promptly to cardiac emergencies (like ACS, arrhythmias, post-op complications).
Coordinate with ICU, Cath Lab, and other clinical teams for patient management.




Perform basic life support and advanced life support interventions as required.
Coordination & Communication
Communicate effectively with consultants, nursing staff, and other departments.
Guide junior medical staff and interns in routine patient care.
Provide updates to patients’ families regarding medical condition and care plan.

Skills & Competencies
Solid clinical knowledge in cardiology and critical care.
Valuable decision-making and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in shifts and handle emergencies.
Familiarity with hospital management software and medical documentation.

Qualifications & Experience
MBBS with valid registration (MCI/NMC).
1–2 years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in cardiology or critical care.
ACLS/BLS certification is highly desirable.
