Assistant Designer – Full-Time

The Arab Crab is looking for an experienced Assistant Designer to join our team full-time.

We’re looking for someone who is creative, hands-on and has a positive understanding of women’s clothing, fabrics and garment construction. You’ll work closely with the team to develop new styles while also helping us take those designs through production.

What you’ll be doing
Create and develop recent clothing styles, silhouettes and designs
Assist with developing collections and recent drops
Work with fabrics, trims and prints and help with digital print development
Coordinate with tailors to ensure designs are executed correctly
Coordinate with fabric vendors and help with fabric sourcing and requirements
Assist with production planning, follow-ups and quality checks
Keep track of production timelines and ensure orders are completed on time
Work closely with the team on stock and production requirements

Who we’re looking for
1–3+ years of relevant experience in fashion design/apparel




Valuable understanding of garment construction, fabrics and stitching
Someone who can independently create and develop new designs
Creative, detail-oriented and organised
Comfortable communicating with tailors and vendors
Willing to be hands-on with production and get involved in the day-to-day process
Someone who wants to grow with a young, independent fashion brand

Job Type: Full-time
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Salary: ₹20,000–₹30,000 per month, depending on experience and skill set
