Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and academically strong HOD – MCA to lead the department, manage academic operations, mentor faculty members, and ensure quality teaching and learning. The candidate should have robust knowledge of MCA/Computer Science, academic administration, curriculum planning, and institutional development.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the overall academic and administrative activities of the MCA Department.
Plan and monitor curriculum delivery, lesson plans, examinations, assessments, and academic schedules.
Coordinate faculty workload, class schedules, teaching plans, and departmental activities.
Mentor, guide, and evaluate faculty members to maintain high academic standards.
Ensure effective implementation of university regulations, academic policies, and institutional guidelines.
Coordinate with the Principal,



Vice Principal, IQAC, examination cell, and other departments.
Monitor student attendance, academic performance, discipline, and overall development.
Organize seminars, workshops, guest lectures, technical events, internships, and industry interactions.
Promote project-based learning, research activities, publications, and innovation within the department.
Support student placements, career development, industry collaborations, and professional certifications.
Maintain departmental records, reports, documentation, and compliance requirements.
Contribute to NAAC/NBA-related documentation, accreditation activities, audits, and quality initiatives.
Participate in admissions, student counselling, orientation programs, and institutional events when required.
Identify prospects for industry and academic collaborations and support institutional growth initiatives.
