Job Description – Warehouse Head

Department: Supply Chain / Operations

Reports To: Operations Manager / Supply Chain Director

Job Summary

The Warehouse Head is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including inventory management, receiving, storage, dispatch, logistics coordination, team leadership, safety compliance, and process optimization. The role ensures effective warehouse operations while maintaining high standards of accuracy, productivity, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch.

• Ensure timely and accurate receipt, storage, picking, packing, and shipment of goods.

• Maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure inventory accuracy through regular stock audits and cycle counts.

• Implement and monitor warehouse SOPs to improve operational efficiency.

• Lead, supervise, and develop warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and statutory regulations.





• Coordinate with procurement, production, logistics, sales, and finance teams for smooth operations.

• Monitor warehouse KPIs such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, productivity, and dispatch timelines.

• Optimize warehouse space utilization and material flow.

• Manage warehouse equipment and ensure proper maintenance.

• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

• Prepare operational reports and present warehouse performance metrics to management.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve service levels.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 8–12 years of experience in warehouse and inventory management.

• Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role.

• Experience in manufacturing, retail, FMCG, e-commerce, or distribution environmen
