Purpose of the Role

- SPD Parts procurement holds critical position in order to cater parts requirement generated through TML CVSPDs Retail as well as Service channel.
- With the service obligation of catering parts requirement till end of vehicle life (Approx- 10 Yrs) & sporadic demand from field makes procurement of the parts challenging..
- Handling 7000 Unique Line with 100 Vendors in the Region.

• TGP Packaging Implementation at Vendor End.

Job Responsibility

- Monthly schedule planning as per requirements & sharing material plan/ schedule with vendors for timely material procurement.
- Regular follow up with vendors, 3PL (transporters) & Warehouse for timely material dispatches & inwarding.
- Knowledge of Theory of Constrain.
- Knowledge of SAP (MM Module)
- Building robust long term professional & interpersonal relationship with vendors for effective vendor management.
- Negotiation with vendors for price settlement of exclusive SPD parts.
- Coordinating with different agencies, internal customers i.e.

Service, Sale, IB, VOR, RWHs, STU, Army & providing them Procurement Support.

- Giving input to PGs regarding vendor’s aftermarket parts prices, supply conditions & other USPs for better pricing & positioning of Genuine Parts.
- Parts Packaging improvement and implementation.
- TGP packaging price settlement with packaging & part supplier.
- Doing Exclusivity and Branding agreements with vendors for encouraging use of Genuine Spare Parts in market.




- Regular efforts for company cost saving by discovering alternate sources in terms of Cost, Quality & Delivery.
- Plant Price and SPD Price movement checking and amendment.
- Scheduling contracts & agreements creation in SAP system for new parts.
- Coordination with QA team, RWH & vendors for quality issues.
- Implementation of quality improvement processes at vendor’s end like, Surface Protection by CED/ ACED, Powder, Paint coating to avoid rust, Packaging improvement to avoid transit damages etc.
- Timely Root Cause Analysis for material interruption/ catastrophe.
- Streamlining the system & procedure for effective inventory management for ensuring availability of material to meet the targets.
- Meeting with vendor’s TOP management team & making MOM for Parts supplies, New Developments & Process Implementations.

• Coordination with Shared Services for vendor’s payment.

People Management

- Ensure strong communication between teams to facilitate timely delivery of parts and maintain relationship with vendors.
- Supervising, motivating and monitoring team performance based on department objectives

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: MBA (Marketing) / Graduation

Relevant Experience

6-10 years

Experience in Automobile Industry

Experience in Procurement and Supply chain function.
