ROLE OBJECTIVE

We are looking for a senior Fleet Sourcing & Supply professional who will be responsible for ensuring continuous availability of vehicles across India for our Corporate Mobility, Employee Transportation and Rent-a-Car businesses.

The role will focus on building and managing a strong pan-India fleet supply network through Driver-Cum-Owners (DCOs), fleet vendors, leasing partners, fleet aggregators and other innovative sourcing channels.

The person will be responsible for ensuring that the right number of vehicles are available at the right location, at the right time and at the right commercial cost.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Build Pan-India Fleet Supply

- Identify and develop new sources of vehicles across major cities and emerging markets.
- Build a strong network of Driver-Cum-Owners (DCOs), fleet vendors, leasing partners and fleet aggregators.
- Ensure sufficient fleet is available to meet current and future business requirements.
- Reduce dependency on any single vendor, city or sourcing channel.

2. Understand Demand & Arrange Vehicles

- Work closely with Operations and Business teams to understand upcoming vehicle requirements.
- Plan fleet supply in advance based on business growth, new contracts and seasonal demand.
- Arrange additional vehicles during peak seasons, festivals, events and sudden demand increases.
- Develop contingency plans for locations where fleet availability is limited.

3. Vendor & DCO Management ( Driver Cum Owner)

- Identify, onboard and develop reliable DCOs and fleet vendors across India.
- Build long-term relationships with fleet partners and ensure partner retention.
- Monitor partner performance, vehicle availability, quality and service levels.




- Resolve commercial and operational escalations with partners.

4. Commercial Negotiation & Cost Management

- Negotiate vehicle rates, contracts and commercial terms with DCOs, vendors and other supply partners.
- Continuously identify opportunities to reduce fleet sourcing costs.
- Balance cost, vehicle quality and availability while finalizing supply partners.
- Work with Finance and Operations teams to protect business margins.

5. Build Processes & SOPs

- Create and implement standard processes for vendor/DCO identification, onboarding, empanelment and contracting.
- Establish processes for vehicle quality, safety, documentation and compliance.
- Ensure consistent fleet-sourcing processes across different cities and regions.
- Periodically review and improve sourcing processes.

6. Explore New Fleet-Sourcing Models

- Identify new ways of sourcing vehicles beyond traditional vendors.
- Explore fleet aggregators, EV partnerships, leasing arrangements, gig-fleet platforms and other innovative models.
- Pilot successful models and scale them across relevant markets.

7. Build Market Presence

- Develop a strong network and market reputation among DCOs, fleet vendors, aggregators and other mobility partners.
- Continuously build a pipeline of potential fleet partners across India.
- Understand local fleet markets, availability, pricing and competitive trends.

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with Operations, Sales, Finance and regional teams to align fleet supply with business requirements.
- Support new business launches by ensuring fleet readiness.
- Provide regular visibility on fleet availability, sourcing costs, vendor capacity and potential supply risks.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Somebody who has been Part of Fleet Management, Fleet Lease, Vehicle Sourcing and Fleet Vendor Management

2.Solid vendor/partner relationship management and negotiation skills; comfort building a distributed supplier network from scratch.
