Senior Manager - Commercial Claims (Band 3) Department: Commercial Claims Designation: Senior Manager Band: 3 Location: Bangalore Reporting To: Head - Commercial Claims / Operations Manager CTC Range: Up to 10 LPA About the Role We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented professional to manage end-to-end commercial claims operations. The incumbent will be responsible for handling customer, vendor, transporter, and internal claims, ensuring timely closure, minimizing financial leakage, and driving process improvements while maintaining stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Claims Management Manage and oversee end-to-end commercial claims processing and resolution. Investigate claims related to shortages, damages, pricing disputes, logistics discrepancies, billing issues, and service failures. Ensure timely validation, approval, and closure of claims as per organizational policies and SLAs.

Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary point of contact for claim-related escalations. Build strong working relationships with customers, vendors, transporters, and internal stakeholders. Resolve complex disputes through negotiation and fact-based decision-making.

Technical

Expertise & Product Knowledge Solid understanding of Commercial Lines Insurance Products, including:



o Fire Insurance o Property Insurance o Industrial All Risk (IAR) o Consequential Loss / Business Interruption o Engineering Insurance o Marine Cargo Insurance Understanding of IRDAI guidelines, insurance regulations, and industry best practices. Expertise in coordinating with surveyors, loss assessors, reinsurers, brokers, and insurers to ensure effective claim resolution. Ability to review investigation reports, loss assessments, settlement recommendations, and recovery opportunities.

Knowledge of risk assessment and claim fraud detection mechanisms.

Required Qualifications MBA / Master's Degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Commerce, or related field. Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or equivalent.

Experience 5-7 years of experience in Commercial Insurance Claims, with exposure to Fire, Property, Engineering, Marine, Liability, and Corporate Claims.

Experience in handling claims for corporate clients, SMEs, manufacturing units, warehouses, and commercial establishments. Prior experience with General Insurance Companies, Insurance Brokers, TPAs, or Corporate Risk Management teams will be preferred.
