Senior Maintenance Engineer - Ophthalmic Lens Edging & Mounting

Objective: Ensure installation, breakdown & preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of SatisLoh (ES4, 3B blocker), Mei Industrial edger, Essilor Edger, Tracer & blocker (Neksia/ES PRO 800/Mr Blue/eTess) & Nidek tracer & blocker machines to minimize downtime and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, commission, and verify machine performance.
- Conduct preventive maintenance as per schedule.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software faults.
- Perform calibration, wheel replacement, tracer/blocker setup, software updates, and parameter adjustments.
- Train operators on machine operation and routine maintenance.
- Maintain accurate service reports, PM records, and spare parts documentation.
- Ensure availability and proper usage of critical spare parts.
- Follow safety procedures, use PPE, and maintain quality standards after service.

Essential Knowledge

- ES4, Mei, Neksia, and ES PRO 800 edger operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- eTess, 3B blocker, TCB 800/500, LT 1000/1200 tracer & blocker operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Lens edging, grooving, drilling, polishing, and beveling processes.
- Mechanical, electrical,



software diagnostics, calibration, and networking.
- Preventive maintenance, safety standards, and customer service practices.

Note: Lab and Service Centre tours are mandatory for machine installation, maintenance, and repair activities.

Qualifications

- BE or Diploma in Electronics / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

Experience

- 8-12 yrs in Similar machines in Ophthalmic Lens manufacturing Industry or Eye Hospital Industry Machine Service Engineer or relevant to Eyecare.

Posting: Kolkata but ready to travel Pan India. Reporting: Head-Operations, Vision Rx Lab
