- Operate conventional lathe machines to perform turning, facing, boring, threading, and knurling operations as per engineering drawings
- Operate EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) machines for precision die and mould work
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, job cards, and work instructions accurately
- Set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces prior to machining operations
- Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Maintain machine cleanliness and carry out basic preventive maintenance
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and dimensional tolerances
- Report any machine breakdowns or abnormalities to the supervisor immediately
- Follow all safety norms and guidelines within the tool room
