Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 2+ years of experience to develop and coordinate mechanical system layouts, ensure compliance with international standards, and deliver integrated design solutions for major building projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and validate mechanical system designs and calculations for HVAC, water supply, and fire protection in accordance with project requirements and global codes.
- Develop and review technical drawings, schematics, equipment schedules, and design documentation.
- Select and specify mechanical equipment based on project analysis, performance data, and regulatory standards.
- Liaise with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines for effective spatial coordination and integrated system design.
- Support clash detection, resolve technical queries (RFIs),



and contribute to internal design reviews and project milestones.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, contribute to process improvements, and mentor junior team members.

Technical / Must-Have Skills
- Advanced proficiency in mechanical design (HVAC, WS/PL, fire protection) and use of AutoCAD; working knowledge of Revit.
- Robust command of international standards/codes (
ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NFPA, IPC)
and familiarity with Gulf/US/UK practices.
- Proficient in engineering tools
(such as HAP, Elite Fire, TRACE, MS Excel-based design templates
).
- Strong documentation, analytical, and technical communication skills.
- Demonstrated coordination with cross-functional teams and adaptability to new tools.
