Role & responsibilities

Maintenance engineer's responsibilities include daily breakdown & prevention maintenance, LLF, 5S & Kaizan & inspecting, maintaining, and repairing equipment, as well as ensuring safety compliance. They may also lead a team of maintenance workers.

Equipment maintenance :-
Install and maintain equipment
Conduct routine maintenance and planning for Preventive maintenance.
Perform corrective maintenance
Perform preventive maintenance and records for the same
Replace worn-out parts
Maintain the documents for internal as well as external audit purpose
Regular maintenance of the machinery, equipment to minimize breakdowns and ensure smooth operations
Safety compliance Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, Use lockout/ tag-out procedures, and Use personal protective equipment (PPE)
Troubleshooting Inspect and troubleshoot equipment, Identify the cause of a mechanical issue, Find a suitable solution, and Conduct fault analysis
Daily LLF round & making points,
Allocated area to maintain 5S,
MOC Job,




Update drawing as per requirement,
Day to day reporting in a system,
Ensuring Leakeges, Crecks & faliur under extra pressure & heat
Ensure asset operate with maximum uptime
Inspect and repair of static & rotating equipment
Preventive maintenance - using tools of vibration analysis, thermography & oil vibration analysis to predict failure before then happen
RCA investigate equipment failure to ensure they happen again by addressing the underlying mechanical issue
rounds to check vibration overheating bearings, unusual noice in heating bearings unusual notice in rotate equipment,
Productive identify & stopping leaks
Monitoring alarm & equipment trends in control room
Breakdown maintenance diagnose the decided issue
