Role Description The Senior Internal Auditor is a full time, on-site role based in Mahrajganj. This role is responsible for planning and executing internal audit engagements, including reviewing financial records, processes, and controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

The Senior Internal

Auditor will prepare detailed audit reports, evaluate risk management practices, and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and financial integrity. Daily activities include performing financial audits, analyzing data and transactions, verifying adherence to microfinance lending standards, and collaborating with management to address findings and implement action plans.



The role may also involve mentoring junior auditors and contributing to the continuous improvement of the internal audit framework.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong financial audit capabilities, including Finance and Financial Audits experience.
- Candidates should possess robust analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills, including clear written and verbal reporting to diverse stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in preparing and reviewing Audit Reports with attention to accuracy and compliance.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CISA, CA, or equivalent) are an asset.
- Experience in microfinance, banking, or financial services, particularly in internal audit or risk management, is highly beneficial.
- Strong ethical standards, independence, and the ability to exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations.
- Ability to work on-site in Mahrajganj, manage multiple audits concurrently, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
