Role & responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities with steel producers, rolling mills, EPCs, PMCs and industrial clients.
Generate leads and track upcoming steel plant, rolling mill, expansion and modernization projects.
Handle the complete sales cycle from lead generation and client meetings to RFQ, techno-commercial proposal, negotiation and PO closure.
Build relationships with senior stakeholders including plant owners, project heads, procurement/purchase teams, consultants and EPCs.
Coordinate with engineering, estimation and design teams to develop customized technical and commercial proposals.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties and commercial conditions.
Develop both domestic and international markets and identify opportunities across overseas regions.
Manage existing accounts and generate opportunities for spares, revamping and modernization.
Participate in client meetings, exhibitions, industry events and business-development activities.




Achieve assigned order-booking, revenue and business-development targets.

Preferred candidate profile
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Metallurgy or Production Engineering preferred.
510 years of experience in B2B sales/business development.
Experience in capital goods, heavy machinery, rolling mills, steel plants, industrial equipment or heavy engineering is preferred.
Prior experience selling capital machinery/equipment to steel producers will be a robust advantage.
Experience handling domestic and international clients is preferred.
Solid understanding of techno-commercial sales, RFQs, quotations and negotiations.
Exposure to PO closure, Incoterms, LC/payment terms and export transactions will be an advantage.
Solid communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
Willingness to travel extensively within India and internationally.
