Headline8 is looking for a confident, fluent and camera-friendly News Anchor / Presenter who can connect with audiences through clear, engaging and credible news presentation in Assamese.

The ideal candidate should have excellent Assamese speaking and writing skills, a solid on-camera presence and an interest in current affairs. The role may also involve field reporting, interviews and gathering news from the ground.

Key Responsibilities
Present video stories and digital news content in Assamese.
Deliver news clearly, confidently and naturally on camera.
Research and understand news developments before presenting them.
Write, edit and refine Assamese news scripts when required.
Conduct interviews with public figures, experts, officials and other relevant sources.
Participate in field reporting and on-ground coverage when required.
Coordinate with reporters, editors and the digital content team.
Cover breaking news, events, press conferences and other important developments.
Maintain journalistic accuracy, neutrality and skilled standards.




Contribute to social media and digital-first video content.

Requirements
Excellent fluency in spoken and written Assamese.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Confident and comfortable in front of the camera.
Good knowledge of current affairs, Assam and regional issues.
Ability to write and understand Assamese news scripts.
Strong pronunciation, voice modulation and storytelling ability.
Willingness to travel for reporting and field assignments.
Ability to work under deadlines and in a quick-paced newsroom environment.
Previous experience in news anchoring, journalism, reporting or digital media will be an advantage.
