About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Trademark Agent to join our Intellectual Property (IP) team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in trademark prosecution, dispute resolution, and drafting legal documents related to trademark matters before the Trade Marks Registry and relevant IP forums.

Key Responsibilities
Draft and file Trademark Objection Replies in response to examination reports issued by the Trade Marks Registry.
Prepare, review, and file Trademark Oppositions and counter-statements.
Draft Show Cause Replies in response to opposition notices, rectification matters, and registry hearings.
Conduct trademark searches and provide opinions on registrability, conflicts, and infringement risks.
Assist clients in trademark prosecution from filing through registration.
Attend hearings before the Trade Marks Registry when required.
Maintain accurate records and ensure timely compliance with statutory deadlines.
Liaise with clients, attorneys, and registry officials effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B)



or equivalent qualification in Intellectual Property.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in trademark prosecution and opposition work.
Proven expertise in drafting:
Trademark Objections
Trademark Oppositions
Trademark Show Cause replies
Strong understanding of the Trade Marks Act, 1999 and related rules.
Excellent legal research, drafting, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple matters and meet strict deadlines.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications
Registered Trademark Agent certification.
Experience in handling contested proceedings, rectification, and cancellation matters.
Familiarity with IP management software and trademark databases.
