Key Roles & Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws, rules, regulations, and consent conditions.
Track requirements related to Pollution Control Board (CPCB/SPCB), MoEFCC, local authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
Maintain records of environmental approvals, consents, permits, and renewals.
Government Liaisoning
Coordinate with SPCB/Pollution Control Board, MoEFCC, local administration, municipal authorities, and other government departments.
Follow up on applications, permissions, renewals, inspections, notices, and compliance submissions.
Represent the organization during regulatory visits and inspections.
Consent & Permission Management
Assist in obtaining and renewing Consent to Establish (CTE) and Consent to Operate (CTO).
Coordinate documentation for environmental clearances, authorizations, NOCs, and other statutory approvals.
Monitor expiry dates and initiate renewals well in advance.
Environmental Documentation & Reporting




Prepare and submit periodic environmental compliance reports and returns.
Maintain statutory registers, inspection records, monitoring reports, waste-management records, and correspondence with authorities.
Coordinate environmental data collection from internal departments.
Pollution & Waste Management
Coordinate monitoring of air emissions, wastewater, noise, water quality, and other environmental parameters.
Ensure compliance related to hazardous waste, solid waste, plastic waste, e-waste, biomedical waste, or other applicable waste streams.
Coordinate with authorized waste recyclers/disposal agencies and maintain required records.
Inspections & Audits
Coordinate regulatory inspections and environmental audits.
Ensure observations/non-compliances are documented and corrective actions are implemented.
Follow up with concerned departments for timely closure of environmental findings.
