Enerzinx is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineer Power System Studies with strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities to join our dynamic engineering team.

The successful candidate will lead technical teams and perform steady-state, agile stability, transient, RMS, and EMT studies for renewable energy systems, including solar, wind, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and utility-scale power networks.

The role involves power system modeling, simulation, grid compliance assessments, data analysis, model validation, and automation of engineering studies using industry-leading simulation tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor a team of power system engineers working on renewable energy and utility-scale projects.
- Perform steady-state, dynamic stability, transient, RMS, and EMT studies for solar, wind, BESS, and utility power systems.
- Develop, validate, and maintain inverter and Power Plant Controller (PPC) models using:

- PSS®E

- PSCAD

- DigSILENT PowerFactory
- EMTP-RV
- Conduct power quality and system performance studies under various operating conditions.
- Analyze transmission network and distributed generation system data.
- Conduct Grid Performance Standards (GPS) and grid code compliance studies.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports covering methodologies, assumptions, analysis, results, and recommendations.
- Support and enhance PSCAD simulation automation initiatives to improve study efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform benchmarking and validation of models between PSS®E and PSCAD environments.
- Collaborate with clients, utilities, OEMs, renewable energy developers, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
- Stay updated with industry standards, grid codes, regulations, simulation methodologies, and emerging power system technologies.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.




- 5-10 years of relevant industry experience in power system studies and analysis.
- Strong hands-on experience with power system simulation tools such as:

- PSS®E (PSSE)

- PSCAD

- DigSILENT PowerFactory
- EMTP-RV

- Strong understanding of

- Power system dynamics

- Renewable energy integration

- Grid code compliance

- Transmission system studies
- Inverter-based resources
- Experience in RMS and EMT simulations.
- Knowledge of power system data analysis and interpretation.
- Exposure to automation and scripting using Python and/or MATLAB.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers.

Preferred Skills

- Familiarity with international and regional standards and guidelines, including:

- NERC

- IEC

- CIGR
- Understanding of renewable energy plant control systems and Power Plant Controllers (PPC).
- Experience with model benchmarking and validation across multiple simulation platforms.
- Prior experience in one or more of the following:

- Power system consulting organizations

- Utilities

- Renewable energy developers

- EPC organizations
- Hands-on experience with additional industry tools such as:

- PSLF

- TSAT
- EMTP-RV

- DigSILENT PowerFactory

- PSCAD

- PSS®E

Desired Profile of the Candidate The ideal candidate should be a technically strong and self-driven power system professional with hands-on experience in renewable energy and grid studies. The candidate should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to independently execute complex engineering studies. The candidate should also possess good leadership, communication, client-handling, and technical documentation skills, along with the ability to mentor team members and contribute effectively to multidisciplinary project teams.

Experience in renewable energy integration, inverter-based resources, grid compliance, RMS/EMT studies, and power system model development and validation will be highly valued.
