About the Company

Urban Company is a technology platform offering customers a variety of services at home. Customers use the platform to book services such as beauty treatments, haircuts, massage therapy, cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and more all delivered at the comfort of their home and at a time of their choosing.

Urban Company promises customers a high-quality, standardized, and reliable service experience. To fulfill this promise, the company works closely with its hand-picked service partners by enabling them with technology, training, products, tools, financing, insurance, and brand support, helping them succeed and deliver exceptional service.

Urban Company started as UrbanClap in November 2014, when its founders Abhiraj Singh Bhal, Raghav Chandra, and Varun Khaitan — realized that the home services industry was largely unorganized, fragmented, and offline. Customers struggled to find quality services conveniently, while service professionals relied heavily on middlemen, contractors, and local aggregators.

The founders believed the industry was ripe for disruption and built Urban Company around three core principles:

The answer: no two days are the same in this role.

Key Responsibilities

- The primary focus is driving operational excellence for your set of cities.

This includes:





- Selection and onboarding of recent partners

- Training and capability building
- Improving quality and performance of existing partners
- This is fundamentally an operations-heavy role, with operational excellence being the core focus area.
- Over time, you will also take ownership of key central growth tracks for the category, including:
- Projects focused on improving quality and service excellence
- Projects focused on improving offerings and innovation
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure swift and effective execution.
- Own the business entrusted to you and directly influence how it scales and evolves.

We are looking for individuals with a strong ownership mindset who enjoy solving operational challenges and building scalable processes.

What We Need

- 1–4 years of experience in operations, consulting, strategy, or related roles
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive projects independently
- Strong problem-solving and execution capabilities
- Someone who believes great outcomes are built through both intelligence and hard work
