About the Role
IndiaLaw LLP is looking to hire a
Legal Associate
with approximately
1 year of experience
to join its litigation team at the Hyderabad office. The role will primarily involve work relating to
Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC)
matters and
Banking & Financial Services Litigation
.
The ideal candidate should have strong legal research and drafting skills, an interest in commercial litigation, and the ability to work effectively in a quick-paced law firm environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in handling matters under the
Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016
, including proceedings before the
NCLT, NCLAT and other relevant forums
.
Assist in banking and financial services litigation, including recovery proceedings and disputes involving banks and financial institutions.
Conduct legal research on IBC, banking, commercial and insolvency laws.
Draft and review petitions, applications, written submissions, replies, rejoinders,
affidavits and other pleadings.
Assist in preparing case briefs, legal opinions, notes and research memoranda.
Attend court and tribunal hearings and assist senior lawyers in case preparation and strategy.
Coordinate with clients, counsel and other stakeholders as required.
Track case developments, deadlines, filings and procedural requirements.
Review relevant judgments, regulatory developments and amendments affecting IBC and banking litigation.
Candidate Profile
LL.B. graduate
from a recognised law school/university.
Approximately 1 year of relevant experience
in litigation, preferably with exposure to
IBC, insolvency, banking or commercial litigation
.
Solid legal research, drafting and analytical skills.
Familiarity with proceedings before the
NCLT/NCLAT, DRT/DRAT and High Courts
will be an advantage.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple matters and work
