• Manage month-end inventory close activities, including inventory reconciliations, accruals, journal entries,
and inventory-related financial reporting.
• Monitor inventory balances and ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with
company policies, accounting standards, and internal control requirements.
• Perform monthly reconciliations between inventory subledgers and the general ledger, investigating and
resolving discrepancies on a timely basis.
• Execute inventory cost adjustments, including purchase price variance (PPV) analysis, landed cost
allocations, and other inventory costing activities,
ensuring appropriate accounting treatment.
• Analyze inventory movements, valuation, variances, reserves, and key inventory metrics to identify trends,
risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare inventory-related financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, management analyses, and
commentary to support business decision-making.
• Assess inventory recoverability and evaluate excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory, including the
preparation of inventory reserve analyses and recommendations.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, and Operations teams to improve inventory
management practices, strengthen financial controls, and support inventory governance.
• Support physical inventory counts, cycle counts, stock audits, and inventory verification activities to ensure
inventory accuracy and integrity.
