Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day nursing duties in the Ophthalmic OT and ensure the OT is fully prepared before and after every surgery.
Maintain strict aseptic techniques and follow infection control, sterilization, and biomedical waste management protocols.
Clean, disinfect, process, and properly store surgical instruments and ensure all required instrument sets are ready for procedures.
Maintain OT inventory, including surgical consumables, medications, instruments, and emergency supplies; monitor stock levels and expiry dates.
Maintain all required OT registers, sterilization records, stock records, surgical records, checklists, and other documentation.
Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, organization, and overall maintenance of the OT and its equipment.
Monitor patients as required during OT and recovery, including vital signs,



and promptly report any abnormalities to the medical team.
Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, CSSD, housekeeping, and other departments for smooth OT operations.
Follow hospital policies and participate in OT quality improvement, training, and other assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications
ANM qualification from a recognized institution.
Minimum 1 year of experience, preferred.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques, sterilization, infection control, and surgical instrument handling.
Basic knowledge of inventory management and maintaining OT records and registers.
Positive communication, teamwork, discipline, and attention to detail.
Basic computer knowledge and willingness to work adaptable shifts.
