Job Summary

The Behavior Technician (BT) provides 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children and individuals with autism and other developmental needs. Working under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or qualified clinical supervisor, the Behavior Technician implements individualized treatment programs, supports skill development, reduces challenging behaviors, collects accurate data, and maintains appropriate session documentation.

The role involves working closely with clients, families, BCBAs, and other members of the clinical team. The position requires a compassionate, patient, responsible, and adaptable individual who is committed to supporting children and families.

Reporting Structure

The Behavior Technician will report to the BCBA, Clinical Supervisor, Program Supervisor, Clinic Manager, and/or Director of Clinical Services, as applicable.





Key ResponsibilitiesDirect ABA Therapy
Provide high-quality 1:1 ABA therapy to clients in clinic, home, school, and/or community settings.
Implement individualized treatment and skill-building programs developed by the BCBA or clinical supervisor.
Use positive and evidence-based behavior intervention strategies to support skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
Follow treatment protocols and clinical guidance consistently and accurately.
Engage clients in structured learning, social, communication, play, and daily living activities as outlined in their treatment plans.

Data Collection & Documentation
Accurately collect and record client data during therapy sessions.
Maintain timely and accurate session notes and service documentation.
Communicate relevant observations, progress, concerns, and behavioral changes to the supervising BCBA or clinical team.
