Urban Company is a technology platform offering customers a variety of services at home. Customers use the platform to book services such as beauty treatments, haircuts, massage therapy, cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and more all delivered at the comfort of their home and at a time of their choosing.

Urban Company promises customers a high-quality, standardized, and reliable service experience. To fulfill this promise, the company works closely with its hand-picked service partners by enabling them with technology, training, products, tools, financing, insurance, and brand support, helping them succeed and deliver exceptional service.

Urban Company started as UrbanClap in November 2014, when its founders Abhiraj Singh Bhal, Raghav Chandra, and Varun Khaitan — realized that the home services industry was largely unorganized, fragmented, and offline. Customers struggled to find quality services conveniently, while service specialists relied heavily on middlemen, contractors, and local aggregators.





The founders believed the industry was ripe for disruption and built Urban Company around three core principles:

Training and capability building
Improving quality and performance of existing partners
