We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for our client Indeed. This is a hands-on engineering role combining backend development, test engineering, and automation.

You’ll initially focus on building and maintaining automated test frameworks using TypeScript and Playwright, with opportunities to expand into broader backend engineering using Java or Kotlin.

? Location: Remote/WFH — India

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution
- Ability to independently contribute to production/backend code

- Debug complex failures and perform root-cause analysis

- Collaborate with engineering teams on quality and reliability
- Contribute directly to production backend services
- Develop and enhance backend services using Java or Kotlin
- Help improve test coverage, automation quality, and engineering practices
- Gradually expand into broader backend engineering responsibilities
