Job Specifications

Education:
B.Sc. Nursing / GNM with valid Nursing Council Registration.

Experience:
1–3 years of experience in CCU / ICU / Critical Care Nursing preferred.

Clinical Skills & Competencies
Ability to provide nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients.
Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and interpretation of basic ECG changes.
Competency in handling cardiac monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps and other CCU equipment.
Ability to identify and respond promptly to cardiac emergencies.
Knowledge of medication administration, including high-alert medications.
Knowledge of infection prevention, patient safety and emergency care.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Certifications
Valid Nursing Council Registration.
BLS certification preferred.
ACLS certification preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients.
Continuously monitor cardiac rhythm,



vital signs and clinical condition.
Identify and promptly report abnormal ECG changes and deterioration in patient condition.
Administer medications, IV fluids and other treatments as prescribed.
Assist doctors during emergency procedures and cardiac interventions.
Ensure readiness and protected operation of defibrillators, monitors and emergency equipment.
Maintain accurate nursing records and timely documentation.
Follow infection control, biomedical waste management and patient safety protocols.
Participate in CPR, resuscitation and emergency response activities.
Educate and support patients and relatives as appropriate.
Participate in departmental training and quality improvement activities.
Comply with hospital policies, procedures and NABH standards.
