Position: Senior Accountant

Location: Ruby - Kolkata

Experience

8 - 12+ Years (Candidates with strong accounting experience in trading, retail, manufacturing, or similar industries will be preferred.)

Qualification

- B.Com / M.Com / Equivalent Commerce Graduate
- Additional certifications in Accounting, GST, or SAP will be an added advantage.

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting operations, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Tally Prime/ERP and should possess working knowledge of SAP (preferred). The candidate must be capable of handling accounts independently while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain complete books of accounts and ensure accurate accounting entries.
- Handle day-to-day accounting transactions using Tally Prime/ERP.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Perform Bank, Vendor, Customer, and Ledger Reconciliations.
- Prepare and finalize Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, and Balance Sheet.
- Handle GST-related activities including:
- GSTR-1
- GSTR-3B

- GST reconciliation
- Coordinate with auditors during statutory, internal, and tax audits.




- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and statutory requirements.
- Maintain fixed asset records and inventory accounting.
- Generate MIS reports and financial reports for management.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Support migration or operations in SAP whenever required.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Tally Prime / Tally ERP
- Working knowledge of SAP (Preferred)

- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas).

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Minimum 8 years of accounting experience.
- Experience in handling complete accounting functions independently.
- Exposure to retail, manufacturing, or trading industry will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with SAP implementation or day-to-day SAP accounting activities is preferred.
- Immediate joiners or candidates serving short notice periods will be preferred.
