Role & responsibilities
Perform Argon/TIG welding for tool, die, fixture, and machine-component repairs.
Carry out fitting, grinding, drilling, tapping, cutting, and assembly work.
Handle tool, die, and fixture maintenance, including repair and modification activities.
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of tools and fixtures.
Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
Carry out accurate measurements using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, and other measuring instruments.
Identify defects and troubleshoot tool/die breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
Perform welding on SS (Stainless Steel), MS (Mild Steel), and other suitable metals as required.
Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, and workshop equipment safely.
Maintain proper housekeeping, safety standards, and tool-room records.
Coordinate with Production and Tool Room teams for urgent breakdowns and repair requirements.
