We are looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to handle electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities in a process manufacturing setting. The candidate should have hands-on experience in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, calibration and automation systems such as PLC, DCS, SCADA, VFD and field instruments.
Key Responsibilities
Attend and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation breakdowns.
Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, SCADA, VFD, control panels and automation systems.
Maintain and troubleshoot field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow and level transmitters.
Handle control valves, solenoid valves, sensors, switches and actuators.
Perform instrument calibration,
loop checking and functional testing.
Read and understand P&IDs;, electrical drawings, instrument loop diagrams and wiring diagrams.
Identify PLC input/output faults and communication issues.
Support installation, commissioning and modification of electrical and instrumentation systems.
Maintain records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance and calibration activities.
Coordinate with production and other maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
Ensure maintenance activities are carried out according to plant safety procedures, PTW and LOTO requirements.
Maintain critical spares and coordinate with stores for maintenance requirements.
Support continuous improvement and reliability improvement activities.
