Job Description
Respiratory Services Manager
Job Summary
Directs and coordinates respiratory therapy activities of the establishment. Administers respiratory care services.

Essential Functions
- Strict adherence to the Company policy and procedure manual including state and federal laws
- Able to perform all duties of the staff Respiratory Therapist.
- Reviews and Qualifies Patients per insurance guidelines for Respiratory Equipment.
- Reviews respiratory care orders to ascertain correct setting requirements.
- Discusses provision or modification of patients' equipment or supplies with ordering providers, patients, and referral sources.
- Arranges for respiratory care services at customer's location for the setup of equipment.
- Monitors RT staff to observe employee's demeanor, technical accuracy, competency and conformity to company policies.
- 5-day patient phone follow-ups on all recent ventilator and airway clearance therapy patients.
- Answers questions about service.




- Determines and assesses work procedures, and best practice.
- Issues written and oral instructions.
- Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
- Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
- Complies with all Local, State, and Federal Regulations (ACHC, FDA, Federal, State, AARC guidelines,etc.)
- Assists in developing job descriptions, recruiting, selecting, and evaluating personnel that meet the specific job description of Respiratory Therapist.
- Establish, implement, and monitor Respiratory Therapists’ practices relating to working hours, conduct, documentation, and when justified, disciplinary action and/or termination.
- Educate Respiratory Therapist and other staff on the laws, codes, and regulations that pertain to the services and equipment provided by the company and monitor compliance.
