ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Senior Manager – Human Resources will serve as the primary architect of SIF's talent acquisition strategy, owning end-to-end recruitment across functions and levels — from shop floor technicians to senior leadership — while holding generalist accountability for HR operations, compliance, and people excellence at the Kolkata HQ.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIE

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Own the full-cycle TA strategy: sourcing, assessment, offer management, and pipeline governance.
- Hire across all levels and functions — plant/shopfloor, engineering, quality, sales, and corporate.
- Build sourcing channels: job portals (Naukri, LinkedIn), campus tie-ups (engineering colleges, ITIs), and executive search.
- Design competency-based JDs, interview scorecards, and structured evaluation frameworks for manufacturing roles.
- Track and report TA KPIs — Time-to-Fill, Cost-per-Hire, Offer Acceptance Rate, 90-Day Retention.
- Develop workforce forecasting models with Plant Heads and HODs; manage Employee Referral Programme.

Employer Branding & Onboarding




- Position SIF as employer of choice in the Eastern India manufacturing ecosystem; manage careers page and LinkedIn presence.
- Lead campus hiring and industry forums; build apprenticeship and fresher pipelines.
- Design 30-60-90 day structured onboarding frameworks; monitor first-year attrition and implement corrective measures.

HR Operations, Compliance & Strategy
- Oversee employee lifecycle: confirmations, transfers, promotions, exits, and Full & Final settlements.
- Ensure compliance — Factories Act, PF, ESIC, Shops & Establishments Act (West Bengal), Contract Labour regulations.
- Partner with line managers on performance management and PIPs; lead HRMS adoption and HR MIS.
- Benchmark compensation against manufacturing-sector norms; contribute to annual HR strategy and international HR support (SIF International FZE).
