SAP BTP Consultant Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP BTP Consultant to design, develop, implement, and support solutions on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP services, integration, application development, extension frameworks, security, and cloud technologies.

The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, architects, and development teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing SAP cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement SAP BTP solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Develop cloud applications, extensions, integrations, and APIs using SAP BTP services.
- Work with SAP Integration Suite, including Cloud Integration, API Management, and Event Mesh.
- Develop and maintain applications using SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model), SAPUI5/Fiori, Node.js, or Java.
- Implement side-by-side extensions for SAP S/4HANA and other SAP applications.
- Work with SAP HANA Cloud for data modeling, persistence, and application development.
- Configure and manage SAP BTP subaccounts, services, destinations, connectivity, and environments.
- Implement authentication and authorization using SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) and related BTP security services.
- Develop and consume REST/OData APIs and integrate SAP and non-SAP applications.
- Support CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring, logging, and deployment processes on BTP.




- Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support for BTP applications and integrations.
- Ensure solutions follow SAP architecture, security, performance, and development best practices.
- Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and operational documentation.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, enterprise architects, developers, and business stakeholders.
- Stay current with SAP BTP releases, services, capabilities, and recommended practices.

Required Skills & Experience
- 4-8+ years of experience in SAP development, integration, or cloud technology, with relevant SAP BTP experience.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP BTP architecture and services.
- Experience with one or more of:
- SAP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration
- SAP API Management
- SAP CAP
- SAP HANA Cloud
- SAP Fiori / SAPUI5
- SAP Build Apps / SAP Build Process Automation
- SAP Event Mesh
- SAP BTP Kyma runtime

- Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA with SAP and third-party applications.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, OData, JSON, XML, OAuth, and HTTP/HTTPS.
- Experience with Node.js and/or Java.
- Knowledge of cloud application deployment and lifecycle management.
- Understanding of identity management, authentication, authorization,



and cloud security.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD tools.
- Valuable understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- SAP BTP certification or relevant SAP certifications.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
- Experience with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).
- Experience with SAP Business Application Studio.
- Knowledge of SAP ABAP Cloud / ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
- Experience with SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, or data integration.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes/Docker and cloud-native development.
- Experience with hyperscalers such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Experience in enterprise integration architecture.

Education
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
