About Us
We are a creative technology studio focused on immersive digital experiences. We collaborate with top-tier specialists in North America to develop creative projects at the forefront of Virtual Reality and interactive media.
Our team is currently working on a recent VR multiplayer experience built in Unity for Meta Quest platforms, combining engaging gameplay with expressive characters and environments. This project is a flagship initiative within a world-leading VR content ecosystem.
The role
Build the game’s real-time VFX. Particle systems are the core of this role — you author, tune, and optimize effects that read well and stay inside strict VR performance limits. You own your effects from brief to in-game, working autonomously.
Responsibilities
Author gameplay and environment VFX in Unity’s built-in particle system (Shuriken).
Work to a hard budget: very low particle counts, opaque / alpha-clipped materials only, 512×512 textures.
Interpret concept, reference footage, and art direction into finished effects.
Tune timing, scale, colour,
and emission so effects read clearly in a headset.
Use shaders and materials to carry visual complexity so particle count stays low.
Build and maintain reusable VFX setups and texture sheets.
Test in headset and cut overdraw when effects cost too much.
Work with 3D, Design, and Dev on effect hookup and game feel.
Requirements
Strong Unity particle system skills — emission, shape, lifetime modules, texture sheet animation, sub-emitters, culling. This is the main thing we assess.
Autonomous — you take a brief, make your own calls, unblock yourself, and deliver without close supervision.
Basic shader authoring for VFX — you can build and modify your own VFX shaders and materials, not only use existing ones.
Ability to hit a visual target without transparency — alpha-clipped and opaque only.
Understanding of overdraw and why it is expensive on mobile VR hardware.
Strong art sense — silhouette
