Job Description – Cashier

Position: Cashier

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Cashier to manage day-to-day cash transactions, billing, records, and related accounting activities at our Agartala location.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily cash receipts and payments accurately.
- Maintain proper records of all cash transactions.
- Prepare and verify bills, invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
- Manage petty cash and maintain the petty cash register.
- Perform daily cash reconciliation and ensure the cash balance matches the records.
- Coordinate with the Accounts and Finance team for payment and collection-related activities.
- Deposit cash/cheques into the bank as required.
- Maintain proper documentation of all transactions.
- Assist in billing, dispatch, and other basic accounting activities when required.




- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
- Perform other accounting and cashier-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Cashier or in a similar accounting role.
- Experience in a manufacturing will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of cash handling, billing, and basic accounting.
- Working knowledge of Tally and MS Excel.
- Strong numerical and reconciliation skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Honest, responsible, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
