Role Description
We're looking for an experienced, senior SaaS Engineer to design, build, and own the scalable cloud-based applications that power our clients' products from launch through ongoing operations. You will drive key architectural decisions, set technical direction for the SaaS platform, and mentor other engineers while staying hands-on in the codebase. Day-to-day work includes developing and integrating SaaS features and APIs, implementing secure and reliable data workflows, troubleshooting production issues, and improving performance and reliability. You will collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, and help automate deployment pipelines and monitor application health.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of qualified software engineering experience, including SaaS or cloud-based product development
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language used for SaaS development (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or Go)
- Proven experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs, and integrating third-party SaaS services
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for compute, storage, networking, and security
- Strong knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design and query optimization
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and modern deployment workflows
- Solid understanding of SaaS application security: authentication, authorization, data protection, and compliance
- Track record of leading technical projects end-to-end and mentoring other engineers
