Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Safety Supervisor to ensure the implementation of safety policies, procedures, and standards across our residential and commercial construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for conducting regular site inspections, identifying potential hazards, ensuring statutory and safety compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture among employees, contractors, and workers.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in high-rise construction projects and should be capable of independently monitoring day-to-day site safety activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and ensure compliance with all site safety policies, procedures, and EHS requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections across construction sites and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
- Ensure proper use of PPE such as helmets, safety shoes, harnesses, reflective jackets, gloves, goggles, etc.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and site safety inductions for workers, staff, and contractors.
- Monitor safety arrangements for work at height, scaffolding, lifting operations, excavation, electrical work, hot work, and confined spaces.
- Ensure proper installation and maintenance of safety barricading, warning signage, safety nets, guardrails, lifelines, and access systems.
- Inspect scaffolding, ladders, platforms, lifting equipment, and other safety-critical equipment.
- Monitor compliance with Work Permit / Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
- Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA/JHA) and assist in preparing and implementing HIRA (Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment).
- Identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure contractors and subcontractors comply with project safety standards.
- Maintain records of safety inspections, observations, toolbox talks, training, permits, incidents, and corrective actions.




- Report unsafe practices and ensure timely closure of safety observations.
- Assist in investigating accidents, near misses, incidents, and unsafe occurrences and prepare necessary reports.
- Ensure adequate fire safety arrangements, including fire extinguishers, fire points, emergency exits, and evacuation routes.
- Conduct emergency preparedness drills such as fire, evacuation, and rescue drills.
- Coordinate with the project team to implement corrective and preventive safety measures.
- Monitor housekeeping and ensure safe access and egress throughout the construction site.
- Ensure proper safety arrangements during material handling, storage, and movement.
- Conduct safety awareness sessions for workers and contractors.
- Maintain daily/weekly/monthly safety reports and submit them to the concerned authority.
- Assist during safety audits and inspections by management, consultants, clients, and statutory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal, statutory, and project-specific safety requirements.
- Immediately escalate critical safety violations or hazardous conditions to the Safety Manager/Project Manager.
- Promote a proactive zero-accident / zero-harm safety culture across the project.

Qualification

- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Safety, Fire & Safety, Civil Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
- Diploma in Industrial Safety / Safety Management will be preferred.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH / IOSH will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 4–6 years of relevant experience in construction safety.
- Mandatory/strong preference for experience in real estate/construction projects.
- Experience in commercial and residential high-rise projects is preferred.
- Should have hands-on experience managing safety activities at an active construction site.
- Experience handling multiple contractors and a large workforce will be an advantage.
