Role Description The Safety Officer is a full-time, on-site role based at the Arjas Steel integrated plant in Andhra Pradesh, India.
The Safety
Officer will monitor and enforce health, safety, and security standards across the plant to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies. Daily responsibilities include conducting site inspections, identifying hazards, recommending corrective actions, and maintaining safety records and documentation. The role involves investigating accidents and near-misses, preparing incident reports, and coordinating with relevant teams to prevent recurrence.
The Safety
Officer will plan and deliver safety training sessions,
support emergency preparedness drills, collaborate with operations and maintenance teams on safe work practices, and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health knowledge relevant to industrial and steel plant environments.

- Having min.15+ Years of relevant experience
- Candidates should possess skills in Accident Investigation, incident reporting, and root cause analysis.
- Candidates should possess experience in Safety Training, including developing and delivering training programs for diverse teams.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Security practices related to access control, asset protection, and emergency response coordination.
- Relevant technical or safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, industrial safety diploma) and a degree or diploma in engineering, occupational health, or a related field are beneficial.
- Ability to interpret safety regulations and standards, strong observation skills, and proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and reports.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence safe behavior and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, or steel plants is an advantage.
