Job Summary

The Restaurant Captain will be responsible for supervising day-to-day restaurant service, ensuring excellent guest experience, maintaining service standards, and effectively coordinating with the kitchen and F&B; team. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, a professional personality, and strong knowledge of restaurant service operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth service.
- Welcome and assist guests in a warm and professional manner.
- Ensure proper table setup, service sequence, and restaurant readiness.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and coordinate with the kitchen.
- Monitor food and beverage service to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Handle guest requests, feedback, and complaints professionally.
- Ensure restaurant SOPs and service standards are followed.




- Coordinate closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth order flow.
- Guide and supervise waiters, stewards, and other service team members.
- Allocate sections and responsibilities to service staff.
- Train recent team members on service procedures, menu knowledge, grooming, and guest handling.
- Maintain restaurant cleanliness, hygiene, and overall presentation.
- Ensure proper billing and coordination with the cashier when required.
- Monitor table turnover and ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Upsell food and beverage items whenever appropriate.
- Check guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in daily operations and reporting.
- Maintain discipline, grooming, punctuality, and professional conduct of the team.

Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Restaurant Captain / Senior Steward / Senior Waiter in a reputed restaurant.
