Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Accounts Assistant to join our Corporate Finance team. This is an entry-level chance suitable for fresh graduates who are interested in gaining practical exposure to accounting, taxation, financial reporting and corporate finance assignments in a Chartered Accountancy firm.

The role will primarily involve accounting and corporate finance support activities and will not involve audit assignments.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting and bookkeeping using Tally / accounting software

Passing purchase, sales, expense, receipt, payment and journal entries

Bank, customer, vendor and ledger reconciliations

Preparation and maintenance of accounting records and supporting schedules

Assistance in preparation of Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet and other financial statements

GST data preparation, reconciliation and return filing support

TDS computation, reconciliation and return filing support





Assistance with Income Tax and other routine statutory compliance work

Collection, verification and organisation of financial information received from clients

Preparation and maintenance of Excel workings, schedules and MIS reports

Supporting the Corporate Finance team in preparing:

Financial projections and forecasts

Revenue and expense workings

Cash flow statements

Financial models and business plans

Management reports and financial analysis

Assisting in company-related and other routine corporate compliance assignments

Coordinating with clients for accounting records, documents and financial information

Maintaining proper documentation and working files for assignments

Carrying out other accounting, taxation and corporate finance support activities as assigned by the team

Qualification

B.Com / M.Com / BBA Finance or equivalent qualification
