Position - Regional Manager / General Manger - East India

Reporting to CEO

: Identify and acquire recent customers in export, import, project cargo, and multimodal logistics.

Strengthen relationships with key clients, shipping lines, overseas agents, and logistics partners.

Achieve annual revenue, volume, and profitability targets.

Oversee end-to-end ocean and air freight forwarding operations.

Manage NVOCC activities including container planning, slot management, equipment utilization, and documen

Ensure timely cargo movement while maintaining service quality.

Monitor KPIs related to transit time, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Negotiate freight rates and service contracts with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, and vendors.

Develop competitive pricing strategies and quotations.

Monitor market trends, freight rates, and competitor activities.

Manage Regional P&L; and budgets.

Monitor revenue, gross margins, operating costs, and profitability.

Ensure timely billing, collections, and cost control.

Prepare monthly MIS reports and business performance reviews.

Build long-term relationships with key customers.

Handle major customer escalations and resolve service-related issues.

Improve customer retention through superior service delivery.

Ensure compliance with Customs regulations, DGFT guidelines, GST requirements, and shipping regulations.

Maintain adherence to company SOPs and quality standards.

Ensure proper documentation for import/export shipments.

Lead, mentor,



and develop sales, operations, customer service, and documentation teams.

Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.

Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Develop relationships with international freight partners and overseas agents.

Expand agency networks to strengthen global coverage.

Identify strategic opportunities in new trade lanes.

Qualification - MBA or Postgraduate qualification preferred

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related dis

Professional certifications in Shipping, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management are an advantage.

Experience - 15-20 years experience in NVOCC / Freight Forwarding Industry

Skills & Key Competencies/requirement - Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding and NVOCC operations.

Expertise in ocean freight, air freight, customs clearance, and multimodal logistics.

Commercial negotiation and contract management skills.

Strong leadership and people management capabilities.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and profitability.

Strategic planning and decision-making abilities.

Proficiency in MS Office and freight/logistics ERP systems.

Presentation Skills

Expertise in freight rate structures, surcharges, and carrier contracts.

Expertise in data analysis, negotiation and strategy to increase business
