About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Refrigeration & Cooling System Engineer with strong practical knowledge of refrigerants, refrigeration systems, cooling calculations, and centralized AC systems. The candidate should have hands-on experience in troubleshooting, system selection, installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, install, commission, and troubleshoot refrigeration and cooling systems.
- Robust knowledge of refrigerants, refrigeration cycles, and refrigerant properties.
- Perform cooling load calculations, heat-load calculations, compressor capacity calculations, and system sizing.
- Select suitable compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and other refrigeration components.
- Handle refrigerant charging, recovery, vacuuming, leak testing, and system evacuation.
- Diagnose issues related to high/low pressure, superheat, subcooling, temperature fluctuations, compressor performance, and refrigerant flow.
- Knowledge of single-stage and cascade refrigeration systems will be preferred.
- Hands-on experience with compressors such as Bitzer, Copeland, Danfoss, SECOP, Embraco, Tecumseh, etc.
- Good knowledge of refrigerants such as R404A, R134a, R407C, R410A, R290, R23, R508B, etc.
- Strong knowledge of centralized AC systems, including chilled-water systems, AHU, FCU, cooling towers, chillers, pumps,



and related HVAC equipment.
- Perform HVAC cooling-load calculations and equipment capacity selection.
- Troubleshoot centralized AC and refrigeration systems and identify root causes of failures.
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance schedules, and system performance reports.
- Ensure proper preventive and corrective maintenance of refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Coordinate with production, service, and R&D; teams for equipment installation and troubleshooting.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles and thermodynamics.
- Excellent calculation and analytical skills related to refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of TR calculation, BTU/hr, kW cooling capacity, CFM, airflow, temperature difference (T), superheat, subcooling, and pressure-temperature relationships.
- Good understanding of compressor, condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, and refrigerant piping selection.
- Knowledge of centralized AC/chiller systems.
- Ability to read and understand P&ID;, refrigeration circuit diagrams, electrical/control diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of temperature controllers such as Dixell, Carel, Elitech, etc., will be an advantage.

Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, HVAC, or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in refrigeration, HVAC, centralized AC, chillers, cooling systems, or low-temperature equipment.
