We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Purchase & Stores to manage procurement and stores operations at our dairy manufacturing plant. The candidate will be responsible for timely material procurement, inventory control, vendor coordination, and productive stores management.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day Purchase & Stores operations
- Procure raw materials, packaging materials, engineering spares, consumables, and other plant requirements
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and other departments for material requirements
- Identify and coordinate with vendors to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and maintain purchase documentation
- Monitor pending purchase orders and ensure timely material availability
- Maintain optimum inventory levels and avoid stock-outs and excess inventory
- Supervise material receiving, storage, issuance, and stock verification
- Ensure proper implementation of FIFO / FEFO wherever applicable




- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile differences
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete materials
- Maintain accurate ERP / MIS records related to purchase and inventory
- Coordinate with vendors regarding delivery, quality, shortages, and other issues
- Support vendor evaluation, negotiation, and performance monitoring
- Ensure proper documentation and support for internal, statutory, ISO, and FSSAI audits
- Lead and supervise the Purchase & Stores team
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement

Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in any relevant discipline
- MBA / PG Diploma in Materials Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Operations will be an added advantage

Experience
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in Purchase & Stores
- Experience in Dairy / FMCG / Food Manufacturing / Manufacturing industry preferred
- Strong experience in procurement, inventory management, vendo
