Regional Risk and Compliance Manager - Asia Pacific
Location: Bangalore (Preferred)
About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned qualified to join our Account Quality, Risk and Compliance Team. The Regional Risk and Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing, deploying, supporting, and managing the Account Risk and Compliance Strategy, as well as managing overall risk to JLL and the client across the Asia Pacific regional portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Set, execute, and continuously improve Quality, Risk and Compliance Programs and Strategy across the Asia Pacific region
- Develop, implement, and manage the account's Quality, Risk and Compliance platform and strategy
- Deliver education and understanding of the program to regional and country JLL teams
- Promote a positive, proactive culture of Quality, Risk and Compliance across the account
Compliance and Risk Management
- Drive overall Quality, Risk and Compliance performance across the Asia Pacific portfolio for all client services
- Manage JLL Client Assurance Program performance and execution
- Execute comprehensive quality risk compliance management and internal/client audit programs
- Monitor compliance to contract, statutory requirements, policies and procedures through risk assessments and sampling
- Manage Risk Register within the region, ensuring timely closure of action plans to mitigate risks to acceptable levels
- Conduct routine monitoring, assessment, and reporting of account compliance/risk health with trending analysis
Program Management
- Manage Incident Management process including education, compliance, trending analysis, root cause analysis,
and continuous improvement opportunities
- Oversee Business Continuity Planning (BCP) process management, education, and compliance, ensuring routine testing and documentation
- Support compliance with Ethics, Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption, and Modern Slavery programs through education, assurance, and incident management
- Support information security and data privacy program compliance within the region
- Manage supplier risk and compliance programs in conjunction with global and regional sourcing and supplier management teams
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as single point of contact within the region for client policy and contractual requirements
- Provide technical guidance to both client and JLL teams on scope alignment issues
- Meet regularly with Client, Country, Regional, and Global JLL leadership to provide assurance and advice on risk and compliance matters
- Participate in investigation and resolution of high-level risk events, including legal, sensitive incidents, and insurance claims
- Establish and implement communication strategy for improvement and awareness of quality, risk, and compliance issues
Audit and Assurance
- Execute internal and client audits to ensure compliance with established standards
- Ensure global and regional compliance with JLL Audits, Client Audits, and other compliance reviews
- Perform effectively under demanding deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Continuous Improvement
- Lead continuous improvement projects across the account
- Build tools, policies, and best practices in support of all deliverables
- Contribute to account and firm growth through collaboration and best practice sharing
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 08-15 years management experience within risk, compliance, legal, audit, or related field
- Facilities Management industry experience required
- Broad acumen of corporate real estate/facilities management processes and services (engineering, facilities management, health and safety, project management)
- Practical working knowledge of risk management frameworks and processes
- Significant practical experience problem-solving in dynamic/diverse, time-sensitive environments
- Experience investigating incidents, identifying root cause, and reporting objectively
- Change management experience
- Experience advising senior management at policy level
Technical Skills
- Comprehensive quality risk compliance management and internal/client audit execution
- In-depth knowledge of risk and compliance concepts, theories, and principles
- ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications
- Understanding and ability to apply Quality and Risk Management standards (ISO9001/ISO31000)
- Problem-solving ability using strong logic and linkage of related data points
Education
- Bachelor's Degree, ideally in relevant Business or Legal fields
Preferred Qualifications
- Audit, Internal Audit, and/or Quality Management qualification or experience
- Six Sigma training and/or Process Management experience
- Second language proficiency
