Role Description The Quality Assurance Engineer is a full-time hybrid role based in the Greater Kolkata Area, with some flexibility for work from home. This role is responsible for planning, designing, and executing test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability across Steora’s technology solutions.

Day-to-day activities include performing manual testing, logging and tracking defects, collaborating with developers and product teams to reproduce issues, and verifying fixes.

The Quality Assurance

Engineer will help refine testing processes, contribute to test documentation, and support continuous improvement of quality standards.



The role also involves participating in reviews, providing clear feedback on software quality risks, and ensuring timely delivery of stable releases.

Qualifications

- Solid software testing skills, including Test Execution and Software Testing, with a focus on structured validation of features.
- Experience in Quality Assurance practices, including test planning, defect management, and adherence to quality standards.
- Hands-on Manual Testing skills, including creation and maintenance of detailed Test Cases.
- Ability to design clear, reusable test scenarios and analyze test results to identify root causes of issues.
- Familiarity with testing tools, bug tracking systems, and basic test automation concepts is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment in the Greater Kolkata Area, with the ability to manage time and tasks independently.
- Experience with CRM systems, business applications, or outsourcing environments is a plus.
