Role Overview Jefferies is seeking a Software Developer in Test (SDET) to join its Equity Derivatives Technology team. This role combines test automation engineering with DevOps and CI/CD automation , supporting a high-performance trading platform across multiple asset classes including Equities, Bonds, Options, Futures, and Swaps .

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in C#/.NET , C++ , SQL Server , PowerShell/Python scripting , CI/CD pipelines , and Capital Markets , with hands-on expertise in automating end-to-end trade lifecycle testing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Test Automation

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for C#/.NET and C++ applications.
- Develop automated regression, integration, API, and UI test suites.
- Automate end-to-end trade lifecycle validation:
- Order Creation
- Trade Enrichment
- Booking
- Persistence
- Build UI automation using tools such as:
- TestComplete
- Ranorex
- UFT
- Selenium
- Review existing applications and identify automation opportunities.
- Mentor team members on automation best practices.

2. DevOps & CI/CD Automation

- Design and maintain Jenkins/Bamboo CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate application deployment and regression execution.
- Develop deployment scripts using:




- PowerShell
- Python
- Automate workplace provisioning, configuration management, rollback, and health checks.
- Support Bitbucket branching and pull request workflows.

3. Test Orchestration

- Build automated test orchestration solutions.
- Seed SQL Server test data.
- Publish test messages to:
- MSMQ
- RabbitMQ
- Automate QA environment setup and teardown.
- Build repeatable automated regression environments.

4. Quality Engineering

- Analyze business requirements and functional specifications.
- Develop:
- Test Plans
- Test Scenarios
- UAT Test Cases
- Test Strategies
- Maintain traceability using:
- QTest
- HP ALM
- JIRA

5. Monitoring & Reporting

- Develop monitoring dashboards.
- Integrate automation with Splunk.
- Build utilities for log parsing and audit validation.
- Monitor application health and test execution.
